East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP) – Organisational Strategy 2019

Client: East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP)
Role: Principal Consultant
Sector: NGOs & Community Services, Social Infrastructure

Challenge

How do you build sustainable impact in one of Bali’s most underserved regions?

Serving over 60,000 people in remote East Bali, EBPP needed a new organisational strategy to shape their programs across health, education, and sustainable development for the 2020–2025 period. The challenge was balancing local realities, operational resilience, and financial sustainability.

Approach

As Principal Consultant, I worked closely with EBPP’s CEO, Board, and frontline staff to co-create their long-term strategic plan.

  • Mapped organisational strengths, funding gaps, and program outcomes

  • Facilitated executive and community workshops across Disaster Recovery, Water, Education, and Public Health

  • Evaluated donor trends and developed new models for donor and SME engagement

  • Proposed diversification strategies, including eco-tourism, permaculture, and social enterprise models

This work bridged field insights with executive vision to support scale and resilience.

Results & Impact

  • Strategic roadmap forecasted 30% increase in program sustainability

  • Created new pathways for 20% annual growth in donor contributions

  • Designed resilience strategies to mitigate climate and natural disaster risk

The work empowered EBPP to attract investment, strengthen programs, and plan confidently for the future.
