Challenge
How do you merge 22 separate agencies into one cohesive organisation without disrupting care?
Uniting VicTas was formed through the integration of 22 UnitingCare agencies and Wesley Mission Victoria—a once-in-a-generation merger aiming to create a unified service provider for vulnerable communities across Victoria and Tasmania. The challenge was to bring together people, systems, and funding streams without sacrificing service quality.
Approach
As Senior Program Manager, Hannah led the merger from the inside out.
Established and ran the central Program Management Office (PMO)
Designed the transformation framework to manage integration across all functions
Built governance structures and reporting systems aligned to compliance and service outcomes
Collaborated across all tiers of leadership, operations, and funders to ensure delivery continuity
The work demanded a balance of strategic oversight, ethical leadership, and detailed execution.
Results & Impact
Delivered full organisational merger on schedule
Achieved 100% compliance with regulatory and funding milestones
Maintained uninterrupted frontline service delivery throughout transition
